Making a Spoon with a Hoof Knife

Ok, this goes along with the I knew it thread where I linked a site saying a hoof knife and spoon carving knife had the same roots... in the crooked knife used by native americans for wood carving.

Today, I got out my hoof knife and an hour later had this spoon. Unintentionally, the spoon holds exactly one teaspoon full of water.

Now here are the pics. I didn't do anything to the handle because it was an ok size already ( about 1 1/2 in diameter).

Nice one I just made one myself a couple of days ago. I still have to pick one of those up soon.
 
Marion, that is my SDS knife I won on a giveaway thread here. It's D2 and sharp as all get out. I used it do peel the bark off the peice of sweet gum I used to make the knife.

I remember that knife was showcased last year. Great tool! Good job on the spoon.
