Hey all-

It was suggested that I try posting this here. If it's inappropriate, I appologize. I am looking for a maker with experience with wing chun butterfly swords, the bat jam do. There are several commercial examples available. They range from "pretty close", to "no way in hell." Any makers here know what they should be?

Thanks.

Yep i make them ! been making them for a while now for a "School " in virginia. contact me if interested :)

Butterfly sword. Haven't heard them mentioned for a long time. Formidable steels in the hands of an expert.

Not many own them, even fewer know how to use with some skill.

Butterfly "Sword's " yep here is a Picture.

Pinoy-

Those are the closest to perfect I've seen yet. How about the steel? How much do they weigh, each? Again, those rock!

Duane Dwyer over at Strider knives is making some right now. He had the blanks done at the last NYC show a few weeks ago and from what I know is studying Wing Chun now.

Bat jam do did not apply . as im simply the maker the one in the picture was exactly what my customer wanted . i like a challenge and these were . since then ive made 2 other set's and am currently making another for a " High Student" . the first pair were cable damascus and weighed almost nothing . the second and third were stainless that weighed a " little " not really heavy though . the pair im making now i don't know yet . they should turn out great , Real 3 bar Damascus blade's , with real ivory handle's , stainless guard's . who know's i may start making a lot of these :)

Strider Bat Jam Do? Wow! Color me impressed. If they at Strider really understand the application and forms, and can translate it into working steel... I need to control my imagination! Maybe I'll shoot them an email.
