I just thought about this, and it would be a nice way to make a 'toolish' looking pocket clip. Basically, just clamp a new piece of metal with a nut and bolt through the lanyard hole. I'm going to go to Lowe's and see if I can find some appropriate materials.

The only problem is it'll move around since you've only got the one bolt. Maybe if you can utilize an existing clip screw hole if it's close enough to the lanyard hole you can use that. Then you have 2 screws holding the clip and then it won't move.

I think it might work! The moving around might be a problem, but if you tighten it just enough (not too much) it might grip fine, depending on the scale material. Good luck, let us know.

on a spyderco of mine [endura] that had a plastic / molded clip which broke off , i took someone else's clip w/ a single hole in it , put a screw through the lanyard hole . because it turned , i filed a step in the handle for the top of the clip to set into . voila ! it worked great . no pictures , i can just barely turn this computer on.
