This is a collaboration between Danjiel Haramina (Daniel) And myself.




The steel is CPM M4 at 63 hrc
The heat treatment has been custom tailored by Brad at Peters Heat Treat for the specific purpose of this knife.

Woodcrafting

This requires more edge stability then the factory spec heat treatment which is for cutting dies

This steel and heat treatment should give us the highest amount of wear resistance, toughness and edge stability all realitive to each other

Basically this is the best edge holding Puukko in the world.
Remember, a Puukko is a knife, but not all knives are Puukkos

CPM M4 combined with the breath taking aethitics of Daniel's work and we have what some might consider the perfect Puukko.

In fact, it would make life simpler to just make them and sell them

But I thought it would make someone's dream come true to be able to pick there own handle material for the best Puukko Steel 😂

This is quite the hassle but I thought some of you would appreciate being able to fully customize such an awesome and limited knife.

And build the orders for Daniel

Which is thicker, firmer and stronger then the previous birch bark

And there is the American classic

Stacked leather

available to all five :)








There is also a custom handle material option that will be discussed if you get your spot.

Also you will have your choice of black or brown for the tuppi (sheath)

I want one Sprint Run M4 Puukko please. My first choice of handle material is stacked birch bark. If that is not available, I will furnish a block of Thunderstorm Kevlar material.

Showed this to my wife and she was keen on the ash burl but glad the orders were filled so I didn't have to get one. 😝

Next time! Now I'll be carrying my locust handled Malanika today thinking of you guys and your knives.

Glad I was in the right place (internet connection) at the right time :) Does not happen often.
I've admired Daniel's work from the first, and been wanting one in curly birch for a while, so this was the perfect opportunity (I love M4). Excited to see it happen!
 
I've never had an M4 blade .
I prefer a curly birch handle and brown sheath.

Glad I didn't see this. I've wanted one of those Birch ones for a while. I have one in hand and one on the way. You won't be disappointed. Best looking knives in the leagues if you ask me.
