This is my first Spyderco! I expect to continue EDC it.

I love the all black look. I went with S30V over 110 (not offered all black) because the black looks so good. (I've been wanting S90V or S110V for a while now...)

Deep carry pocket clip already ordered. MXGGear.

This blade is lovely to work with! Thick, strong, simple.

The lock release is plastic. WTF.... Also, it digs into my thumb. Poorly designed. The spring is way too strong! <---- All will be addressed soon.

The thumbholes should be rounded out a bit.

My life is a rollercoaster ride...

The Manix 2 doesn't work for me. I am so disappointed (with my life, not spyderco lmaoooooo)

The handle design puts too much strain on my thumb and finger, which has caused pain and immobility at the knuckle joint of the finger. I also hurt my hand working out over the past several weeks so that is a major factor, too. But this is what led me to the realization that the handle isn't good for me.

The handle is curved forward and the grip splits my first and second finger.

When I squeeze the handle, the grip is mostly my first finger.

When I squeeze my Benchmade Barrage, it's all in the middle, so much more secure.

Do you guys with bigger hands experience the same thing? Most of the grip is the first finger?

I love my Manix 2 (M4 steel). It is one of the best large hand knives I’ve had.

the Stretch works well for me as well. Mine is VG-10, and those two fight out which large lock blade gets to spend time in my pocket.

I want to know what mods you do. I recently found my Manix 2 that I forgot I had and I agree, the lock spring is too heavy. I’m probably going to get a Flytanium ball cage, but lightening the spring would help as well.

Made my own from a St Nick's 4V and an S90V CF :D

Ti deep carry pocket clip from MXG Gear.

Al ball cage lock from Knife Center.

My hand is healing slowly so I'm feeling better about the knife. However, I would not want to shave off kindling for 10minutes using this knife. I just don't like how it feels in my hand. It feels uneven... un-ergonomics shall I say (assuming that is a word)? But damn, the grip is really tight - you're not goin anywhere!

I realized that I just need to get a fixed blade when I go in the woods. This Manix 2 is a fantastic EDC but holding it in my hand for 10 minutes will not be comfortable.

There is always a caveat.

I'm very happy with the Manix 2! I still want one with Magnacut in all black...

I am a big fan of the Manix 2 and enjoy mine. I don't find it hard to hold, and if I did I'd just slap on a pair of work gloves. I edc a Gayle Bradley #1 with a lot of miles on it and don't even think about the handle. It just does it's job around the yard and house.

Cool : )

It kills me to see those rivets.

I am jealous of the S90V...

They only make the Manix 2 with black blade, black screws, black scales, black everything in S30V. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I may just have to settle for whatever they offer in S110V and figure out the rest... I also would love the XL... but choices appear to be limited...

I'll take it! Just kidding. What a gorgeous knife from Spyderco and the scales top it off. I'm an old Manix fan from waAAAy back and have more than I should.

That knife website has to be a scam!! All those limited, long sold out variations all in stock at super low prices??

Yep. Didn't take much to figure that out.... Sorry for the premature post on this. I work from home, have a heavy workload and jumped the gun. The domain is relatively new and there are a lot of reports of this being a scam site.

There is a blacked out Cruwear version but the scales are smooth. 6ACDE257-81BF-434A-A679-2089BF6C7A2B.jpeg

Thank you TheLegoJoker TheLegoJoker !

I don't understand the smooth scales, but I guess everything needs change, eh?

I most recently considered just going with a S110V blade (not black) and getting these scales. They're thicker, which is extremely desirable.... but they're brass, not aluminum... which means I wouldn't EDC. This guy makes some the coolest scales I've seen so far. Most other metal scales don't have the grip I want, this guy has a lot of them that do. <removed pic>

The Manix2 has some of the best ergos I’ve experienced in a folder. I’d love another sprint or dealer exclusive in my collection.

I love the Manix 2; own more than I should .... these days, this is my favorite:

Ergonomics are good for me and I have large hands. I think of it as the SAK of Spydercos.

True on the fixed blade ...

There is an all black Manix XL in S30V. Maybe you should try.

Ok, last time I bring this up lol...

ergonomics: The applied science of equipment design, as for the workplace, intended to maximize productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort.

The handle does not provide an even distribution of load on all 4 fingers. There is more load on the index finger than the other digits. Not an issue under normal use! But if you're doing something with this knife for hours on end, you might reconsider.

I wanted the XL just because I like a bigger blade... then I saw where the clip attaches to the handle... deal breaker. always a freakin caveat....

I'm just sticking with what I have : ) Case closed ! Thanks all!
