Does anyone know if this knife has full or partial stainless liners? Also, does it have bronze pivot washers or is it constructed without washers like some of the cheaper lightweights? Thanks!

You could call them partial liners - in the pink elipse below.

(S110V LW Manix 2, but shouldn't matter)

It doesn't look like your knife had screw-together construction - I don't see any screws besides the pivot screws. Did you drill out the rivets? I think that the only Manix 2 Lightweight that has screw-together construction is the SPY27 version which only came out recently.

Not my photo. From a guy who replaced the rivets with screws.

Ah, I see. Hopefully someone who has one of these new Lightweight screw-togethers will know.

stillshot2 - I thought it might - thanks for the info! Does yours have FRN or FRCP scales?

Has anyone taken apart the new factory Screw together LW's
and taken a pic of the insides.

uxo2 - I'd like to see that too. stillshot2's description of his sounds like the "liners" are the same as in the photo in the second post. So no full or even halfway stainless liners - just the small dogbone shaped steel pieces and washers. I assume Spyderco has reworked the scales in the areas where the previous rivets went to hold threaded steel lugs that accept screws on both sides.

I already Frankenstein-d mine but here are the inside of the scales and the problematic d-shaped barrel rivets.

Why are the D bolt problematic?
There a few Spyders that are using similar D holes to Bolts with no issues at all

Also, are the Ceramic bearings picture for a Manix direct replacement and if they are can you PM me some info as on them please

Has to be FRCP, feels more like Native 5 lightweight scales than Seki City FRN. Have taken mine apart and internals look like the S110V one above except the fact there are screws instead of rivets. For pictures of the outside of what mine look like gp knives site has photos showing both sides of the black DLC CQI Manix 2. The pivot and area at stop bar/ lockup area have screws from both sides, the clip and other areas only screw from one side. My scales snapped together when reassembling snugly like it could stay together without any screws at all, super tight tolerances if you ask me. But at this point unless a knife says CQI in the product description or the seller can confirm it has screw construction I would assume it could be riveted old stock

Himalayan Himalayan & uxo2 uxo2 - apologies, I should have framed that comment better. they are only problematic if you are trying to scale swap into the AWT options, etc... nothing wrong with them inherently at all.

Stillshot2 - Thanks for the clarification. The reason I'm curious about this is that I recently put a somewhat weaker spring in my G-10 Manix 2 and IMO improved the function 100%. And again, IMO, because of the way the lockup is designed, the softer spring doesn't affect the strength of the lockup at all - it just makes it so much easier to use. If I get the Lightweight version I need to be able to disassemble it to do the same.

I opened up a screw FRCP and found skiff bearings. This was from an authorized gun store. Can someone please enlighten me?
