Carrying my Maxamet Manix 2 LW today! It’s discontinued and discounted at some retailers that still have them. You can’t go wrong with any you mentioned, bonus all the new versions have screwed construction!

Depends on what you use it for. Magnacut is very stain resistant and nicely balanced between toughness and edge retention. 15V has a lot more edge retention but is a lot less tough and not stainless. So how hard are you using the knife and is it getting wet?

Another consideration is difficult of sharpening 15V and Maxamet. If you have sufficient equipment it isn't that hard. Mine are in S110V and Rex45. If you are experienced sharpening it there is nothing wrong with S110V. All of the different steels available encompass a wide variety of characteristics so best to pick one based on your use case.

Another vote here for the Manix 2 Maxamet. Get one while you still can, it’s been discontinued for 2025.

I agree with you on the older pinned versions. Just an FYI..the last 2 production runs of Maxamet are screwed construction, like stated in my above post.
