With a few members loosing pets recently... what better way to remember our pets than to celebrate their lives. Here's my 10yr old.. going to pick out either a little bro or sis for him tomorrow... will post pics of the new pup when they arrive.

Here's Maximus aka "Max" 10yrs and 2 months and without a doubt the best companion I've ever had grace my house... and yeah he lives inside :D

My "best friend," Arlo. He was a 130 lb Great Pyrenees / Golden Retriever mix. Noble, gentle, and loyal.

He taught me to aspire to be "canine" to others. He was truly a better dog than I will ever be a "good man." I will keep trying though... I miss you, buddy.

I'm not in the mood yet to start looking through all the memory pics of Indy yet. But here is a silly shot I got of him while playing with my kids in the yard.

Hard to tell but he was a short haired jack rusell mix with god knows what. Very smart and athletic. He was always playful.

Rosie is, as best we can tell, a Shepherd mix rescue dog... She is all energy, all of the time, 35 pounds of INFI-loving dog. She is quite a handful. We've had her about a year now... and she get's about .5% better each day.... :D

My dog Gus. 8 year old pug-terrier mix; either jack russell or irish terrier. This is him trying to keep me from going off to college without him.

First dog. Took me through middle school and high school. Still around, but recently "hit the wall," and hard.

Good Heavens!

Max is practically identical to my old Shep/Wolf breed, Sabre.

Loved that dog. A fierce protector of my family -- used to literally pick up the little ones to move them away from danger. Absolutely fearless.

He's an old wolf now. We moved into closer proximity to others and had to move Sabre to a friend's rancho near the Sandia Mountains. He immediately claimed several hundred acres of territory. He still patrols his ground daily (at the ripe old age of 20!!). I visit him every time I get within a state's width of the rancho.

And he still remembers. What a dog!

My current Avatar is actually not my dog...
His name is Zeus, and he was the victim of neglect and a trailer home fire before finding his soulmate, a very cool young woman, who rescued him from the SPCA. He is such a great dog, and has so much to say with his eyes, that I felt compelled to 'shoot' him the day I took this shot.. He really seemed to enjoy watching me go through the paces with the camera and hammed it up a bit for me.

My tabby, Zephyr. We adopted her when she was a kitten from the local SPCA.

She is the love of my life and look forward to every moment I can spend with her. I took this photo when she was around 6 months old, she is 7 now.

Well you all know my pride and joy (Look at me avatar) I have been trying to post pics of Willy the wonder cat but he is camera shy:) :)

All of the pets are adorable

My Gang. They ROCK. I adopted them all from a local rescue shelter. I love every moment spent with 'em. A real bunch of COOL CATS. All but the black cat are littermates. Syd (top pic) somehow managed to convince me to take her too and I went from no cats to 4 in one day. :D
