I inherited this knife and was trying to determine its value if any. Has 'Master Knives' logo and on back 'surgical steel' and 'taiwan'.

Heavey metal handles too.

Any help is appreciated!

You have an inexpensive copy of an Emerson CQC-7 series knife. I owned one of these some years ago and if I recall it was a bit on the heavy side (handles). My knife became quite loose after some moderate flicking with a lot of side to side blade play. Tightening the screws did not help. Relegated it to the junk/parts bin.

It is not a great made knife-the blade does seem of fair quality!

Thanks for your help!

they were imported by Double 8 cultery in the earliy 1990s. The wholesale was $12 and they sold anywhere from $20 up.....not bad in my opinion

I think they named their company Master Knives to indicate they had mastered the art of making knock-offs. They also did unauthorized copies of several other Benchmade knives, most notably the Boguszewski Spike.
