This is an interesting link to materials that are harder than diamonds. I really enjoyed reading it but I think great minds here that are greater than mine might be able to put two and two together and create something new, or at least enjoy the read

We have awesome materials, but modern knife blades are not much better than medieval ones. Imagine what is possible if engineers really try to create a super knife.

I don’t know that I can get behind that notion. There are knives made out of materials used to sharpen and cut normal knife steel. They don’t really work much better.

When I told my daughter that she could use this knife on a ceramic dish and that it does not rust if she don't clean it after use , she adopted it . Problem is that she scratched all the dishes in the kitchen 🤣

I also take issue with the article. Each material has a qualifier like “it would be harder were it not for the impurities” or “it’s probably harder but we didn’t test it yet because we don’t have enough”

Yes, cute article but quite misleading in application.

I made a knife from tungsten carbide once. It is still somewhere around the shop. I was told it is Rc84. I made it to cut sandpaper and such. I used my diamond lapidary plates to put the edge on it ... what a task. It almost laughed at the diamond discs. Eventually I got an edge on it that worked for trimming sandpaper on my disc grinder and cutting off shop rolls of abrasives.

Looks good (delicious). Is that okra or a spicy chile ofsome sort?

Also, my wife might really like that knife design (long story). Are you able to share with me a profile?

I'm not sure on what exactly you mean? On this maybe ? It is roasted hot pepper if you mean on that . Otherwise it's a traditional salad here. cucumbers, tomato, hot roasted pepper , onion and white soft cheese, all mixed together. The meat is pork, inside there is smoked pork neck, cheese, mushrooms ... all prepared on the grill

What is *profile* you ask me to share ?

He'd like a straight overhead photo of your knife, ideally on graph paper, although it looks like your table cloth would do.
The recipe sounds delicious.

And richard is right … I am interested in the profile of the knife in the photo (longer story… but I think my wife would like it..,)

Here if that picture can help you ? The edge side radius is 12 centimeters , the squares on the paper are 5mm
