I got my new bag a few days ago and I love it. It's a Maxpedition Malaga gearslinger 660 cu. in. It's the perfect size for an EDC. I figured since I was messing around with it I would go ahead and post some pictures. Thanks for looking.

I have a Vesripack and like it for every day kind of stuff. But for me, if it's going to be on my back I want two straps. The single sling backpack isn't very comfortable (but maybe it's because I'm fat!)

Nice looking kit, I love Maxped stuff.

Enjoy it, dude! I love mine. Can't wait to see your full rig!

They look like Cold Steel mate!

They are Coldsteel. CS SRK and Recon Tanto. And of course the RC-5 and on the side of the malaga was my RC-3. I had taken it off before the pictures and had forgot to put it back on.

I had a versipack but traded it because it didn't fit me well. I love the Malaga though much more comfortable for me. I guess it everyone is different.

My jumbo gets heavy on my shoulder after a few miles. How does this one ride? I like how these look but wonder if a pygmy might be better as far as weight distribution. I'm interested in hearing pros and cons from the OP and others. Thanks!

I only wish there was someplace to look at and try on Maxpedition stuff. Too much money to guess you'll like it.JMHO

I'll let you know next week. I'm going to do a few day trips with it on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday so I should know all the pros and cons. So far though as just my EDC it's awesome. The perfect size and comfortable.

Thanks!

Good looking pack, I love my Sitka gear slinger, and I am thinking of getting a monsoon for the different look.

With it's size the single strap of the Sitaka doesn't bother me at all. They are made to swap shoulders when you want to.

Very easily too. Great design.

My Jumbo doesn't get heavy, but it gets annoying. With the Janus attached I can't adjust the strap to a good hiking length, it just won't get short enough. So I get stuck with this versipack banging itself against my leg. It gets better if I rotate it around so it's sitting against my ass, but still.

I have both (Malaga and Pygmy Falcon II) and do find the dual strap set-up of the Pygmy to be preferable for extended use, simply because each shoulder obvious gets half the weight.

I'm torn between the Malaga and the Lunada. I can find any pics to compare the two.
What made you pick the Malaga over the smaller Lanada?

I'll try to take a pic tomorrow of the two next to each other. I have the Malaga and my fiancee has the Lunada. :)

Nice bag. I have a Pygmy Falcon. I need to re-evaluate what I have in there. I had hoped to have room it to put more stuff if i was say on a trip but it is pretty well filled & a little heavier than I really want for EDC. Hope your bag works out well.
