I'm looking to order some Mechanix gloves off the intrawebs (Mainly because BF members seem to love them so much). I have hands that are kind of between sizes. Sometimes I wear a Medium, sometimes a Large.

Can anyone tell me if Mechanix run a little large or small?

Unless your buying the leather ones,I think I'd go with the medium, the regular Mechanix Wear gloves do stretch pretty good and if you want to use them for something similar to their intended use they work better if they're tight.

I have medium hands, and I always order the medium sized ones. They do come snug, but like beau5278 mentioned, that's a good thing. I can easily pick up a coin laying flat on a table while wearing mine. All-day comfort, too. I wish I could find a good way to launder them, thats my only issue. Every solvent I put them in destroys the velcro.

My only complaint about Mechanix gloves is the velcro. It's very flimsy, but it has gotten better.

Here is a trick to washing your gloves. Put them in with regular laundry, use mild soap like Woolite or use less of the regular detergent. Put the gloves inside of a pillow case, tie it in a knot and slap a rubber band around the knot for added security. Let them air dry and they will be good as new.

I wear mediums for their regular line as well as their "light duty utility" gloves. However for their padded leather series I wear a large.

I would have to agree with this. All models that I've tried have flimsy velcro. But I really can't complain because they're pretty good otherwise and I usually clean out the local store's stock when they go on sale for about $5 a pair.

Thanks for the tip! I've been handwashing mine. I'll be sure to give this a try.

The handwshing works too, less complicated. I have a few other things that I wash with the pillow case trick (paracord belt for example). $5 for the Mechanix gloves? That is a heck of a good price, the cheapest I've seen them locally is about $20. They never put those items on clearance. :(

The biggest online shopping site in the world has them for $15.99 (Best price I've found).

I love them, they wear great and they dont get worn out easily. they also clean rather well.

With my fingers spread all the way out I get 8 inches and I wear a medium. I could wear a large but they would have to conform to my hand before I would do to much detail work with them. My local Lowes has them so I tried them out before I received a pair for christmas.......then 6 months I very sadly forgot the left hand on the trailer while trying to get 12 calls done in one day. I searched that stretch of highway for the next month but with no luck :( :( But Christmas is cumming up soon again :) :) :)
