There's some concern of the stop pin causing problems to the blade's choil of this new civivi model. Is it true for all or just one run?

I got mine on Wednesday and have been playing with it quite a bit. The stop pin issue seems pretty overblown to me.

What I have noticed is that there is a VERY TINY bright spot on the choil where the stop pin is contacting it. This can only be noticed under magnification (at least to my eyes). Not enough of an big deal to warrant a return or even very much concern. I would never even have looked for it if not for all the hollering about it on Youtube.

If you regularly sharpen your blades down to toothpicks because you use them so darn much, maybe this isn't the model for you? Pretty great price on a really fun knife IMO. Lockup is solid with no play in any direction and the action of the super lock is very good with no stick at all.

The thumb studs could maybe be a bit bigger but reverse and standard flicking are still very satisfying with a little wrist action. Pretty big knife after all. Would like to see some cooler color combos too, why only 3 versions, seems weird.

Anyway, I like it!

Also, somewhere around 17 holes in the handle of this knife and not one of them is a lanyard hole. Confused face.
