Hey, Y'all.

Go easy on me here... This is my first post.

Does anyone know of any Mel Pardue designed knives that were not made by him or Benchmade? I swear that I had a knife back in the 90's that had his name/logo on it, but know for a fact that it wasn't a Benchmade. There's no way I could have or would have dropped that kind of $ for a knife back then. Maybe a Gerber? This is killing me!

Thanks for your help!

Hi, welcome to Blade Forums!

The vast majority of Pardue’s designs where as an in-house designer at Benchmade, but I think there were a couple of production designs with other manufacturers, I’m just drawing a blank.

You can get Mel Pardue customs for not much more than a production knife. You might want to check into that.

Edit: I just noticed you said “not made by him”...sorry!

Joe Pardue, a son, I think, had a few production knives. They open with a different kind of thumb stud.
