I've been looking at this company's blades lately. Why is it you don't see them around here or come up for sale? They look like their very well made and designed for the most part.

They appear to be a company who makes knives for spec-ops operators. I can't speak for others, but as a result, I personally am not interested in any of their offerings. I am not a standing member of our Military and so don't require a commando knife.

They simply never broke through in a big way. Company secrecy, sub par customer service and overall fit and finish issues with their products kinda just had people holding them at arms length. They sorta broke out with their auto line and seemed to have a promissing start but those knives proved to be less than desired. Then the guy responsible for most of the designs I believe moved on and went on to form ARS knives and merc worx just never took off. Not to mention that when they first came on the scene they were firmly rooted in the tacticool/mall ninja category. There is nothing wrong per se about that marketing but most people who need a tactical weapon and know how to use it tend to shy away from any company that markets itself in such a manner. In other words their website was like cold steels but their pricing was william henry and it didnt jive. They arent bad knives but there are a lot of good knives out there. Some just as good if not better and at a price that is more logical.

I've never handled one personally as there's not many knife dealers left in my area anymore is why I ask. I figured with all the bladeaholics around here someone had some experience with them.

Yes I've read on the net some bad but mostly good reviews on their knives. I was thinking about a personal defense knife to maybe go along with a sidearm I edc. One of their shorter models might fit the bill. I just wish a dealer in my area had them so I could look them over personally. I've owned a bunch of Busse's in my day and their great knives too with most likely better steel in them. I'm just looking for something a little lighter and faster in the hand.

My experience with them have been nothing but positive. I've owned a small fixed blade and several of the folders. STELLAR one and all. BG42 steel on the folders and early f.b's as I recall. Ergonics are very decent for the fixed blade I owned, it was beyond sharp and was made well. Same for the folders. keepem sharp

Years ago they were located in New Jersey, and I had cash in hand to buy one of their models. As I lived in NJ and close to them at the time I called them, and asked if I could come down, and pick up a knife. I was flatly told NO. I said I have cash in hand, and wanted one of the high dollar models. Again I was told NO, and to buy off the internet. Finally I was like dude.....I cant swing by with cash, and pick up this blade? NO. Buy off the internet. I said thanks for nothing, and as of this writing I have never bought a MW knife.

Damn, that blows.

I think they were kind of expensive at the time they came out .I had one for a while, their large folder, it was well made, just got bored with it.Like others said and especially now, there are so many other great blades for less, there isn't much reason to go out of the way to get one anymore...

I would double check the weight specs. I thought their claim to fame was overbuilt heaviness. Could be wrong. My auto was a tank and that was aluminum.

I own Proeliator, Sniper Chili, and Shiva, all in S30V.
Craftsmanship is superb. Awesome balance. Chili handle is a breakthrough.
Just make sure to order Kydex sheath, because their regular ones is pretty generic crap.
Definitely not EDC.
But when the shit hits the fan - I'll be smiling with one of these in hand.
The toughest blades I've ever seen.
