Metal cutting blades for a scroll saw?

DO these exist? Can you cut metal with a scroll saw?

I can find them at Sears. They can cut thin hard metal such as brass/copper. I have cut inch thick aluminum rod with good (if slow) success. The trick is to use the blades with > 20 teeth/inch count, and lubricate well. I use a syringe to dribble water over the area I'm cutting.

Works for me.

Thanks Jim, i'll take a look later this week.

Will jeweler's saw blades work on a scroll saw?

you also want a variable speed scroll saw, and to run at as slow a speed as you can.

The craftsman 18" variable speed scroll saw with foot pedal on/off is a good one, it takes every type of blade, those with the nubs and those without.

I have seen some before but the problem with the blades it bad heat treat of the blades plus they would never cut through thick stuff, but copper, sheet metal they would work fine. Its really hard to find scroll saw blades the perform good from dozen to dozen, plus they are thin and very flexable. My Grandfather and I used scroll saws for making crafts for years, Flying dutchmen makes a good blade, but its still hit and miss, one dozen might work great the next may not, and thats just for wood
