Mexican Blanket Scales

Who else likes them? These arrived yesterday for my TRM Atom. There's one available for the Eklipse 3.5" though the pattern is only an insert and not the entire scale.

Let's see yours! (Apologies in advance if this has been discussed previously; searched but didn't find anything.)

This is the first time I have seen that style of handle covers. I am not sure if it is for me but I can see the attraction. All of the black handles gets pretty boring.

I have no idea why they’re electric. They’re not all that much different from the regular pattern.

Possibly it's the color pallate? The color of the micarta and inlay pattern on yours is great. The one for the Ekplise has lighter micarta and the inlay pattern isn't nearly as nice/classy.

Mine is natural linen Micarta and the one I think you’re talking about is natural canvas. Mine was lighter when it showed up but has gotten somewhat darkened and the inlay colors more vibrant with handling and use.

There was a time i my life when I would have said that too (awful) but the Serape scales have grown on me
and now i think it looks mighty bad ass on some knives . cheers

I'm a fan of the Ripple cut blankets.
Spoke with GCarta a couple of weeks ago at Blade West, they're good folks. They had a giant block of Mexican Blanket, if it had been Ripple cut I'd have picked it up.
