I'm looking to get a 4 inch Microtech folder. Trying to get a headstart on other opinion; I'm sure the 2022 modles will disappear soon. My search made it seem as if you should get a manual over auto for as far as Microtech folders go.

Any major differences in the models?
Any options on manual vs auto?

Looks like the layndard hold is preventing a deep carry clip. I guess I'll chop that up as a 1st world problem lol.

I think microtech’s core competency is making automatic knives… so if they were legal where I lived, that’s where I’d start. I’m not saying their manuals are bad, but it’s sort of like going to Red Lobster to get chicken.

The SOCOM automatic is a nice knife and just over 4”.

It really depends on the model imo we’re a manual is preferred over a auto version. Microtech is known for there excellent autos. I think a ludt might be a great choice for you.
Here’s a link to one of Bladeforums dealers and one of the best dealers around. They appear to be out now but I’m sure you would be able to find one in your search. It’s a great knife !!
Also if your not in a hurry you could always pick a few you like at DLT and click on the notification option to let you know when they are back in stock.

Socom Auto.

The thing I LOVE about them is the "spring kick" stops before full lockup (it kicks REALLY HARD though, no chance it won't lock). What that means is that you can safely and easily close them one handed, unlike most other side opening autos, where the spring tension extends all the way to lockup. With a Socom Auto, you can depress the button (with your thumb) to unlock the (opened) blade and give it a little push with your finger, and it will unlock and stay unlocked. Then you can reach behind the blade with your thumb to shut it (cocking the spring in the process). Other side openers won't stay unlocked without spine pressure, due to spring tension all the way to lockup. Once you discover this method, the MT Socom Auto really rises to the top.

I'd go otf

The LUDT is what I'd pick from microtech if automatics were legal where you live. It's by far the most practical cutting tool they make.

I've had many manual action Socom Elites and their quality is excellent, but be warned that they just aren't ground to cut things well. That doesn't matter to everyone but it eventually spoiled the knives for me.
