stopped in for a second and left with way to good of a deal, fooled me for about 5 minutes after i bought it. scumbag owner is a microtech collector, and had to know he was peddling junk. they had some new "sale" on things weekly, i saw the halo and asked price. was in a hurry to get back home and said i will take it. got back in the car driving home and realized i was sold a fake. called shop and the owner said, bring it back and save your receipt. this place is a 45 minute drive away, and really has me mad he sold this as legitimate. they have everything marked way above anywhere's price local or online so they dont sell some things for over 5 years. since it was 2018 dated i was thinking with the current climate maybe the owner is trying to liquidate some high $ items that he has not sold due to pricing way above market. they are a dealer for benchmade and sell high dollar firearms, thats what had me to confident. im about to go and return this junk, wish me luck!

I was personally friends with a few people that worked at one location, one still works at 3rd location.

on the way home i noticed the following on inspection-
i know that MT does not want end users dissembling them, found tool in box
realized the anodizing was off
no blade laser markings
no serial
no serial with model on box
.... FAKE

Wow good luck! Hate when you trust a reputable seller and wind up with a fake. Happened to me on ebay... And with the help of ebay I was able to return the item at full refund. Since then I've bought tons of knives via bladehq and seven here, never any issues. If the business truly cares about the customer, they should reimburse you and give you an additional discount on another knife of your choice.

Sometimes dealers even get fooled. Glad he did the right thing and issued a refund. Best we can do is inform the ignorant (not being derogatory).

Yeah. $499 for a Halo would have set off alarms for me.
they were on sale, lol

when i went to return, he brought all of his boxes in and found some things i did not notice on the boxes. had his 1998 halo there to show also, stay sharp everyone!
