I posted this last week, but needed to have a membership; I am a gold member now. This is what I posted:

"I was given 7 knives from a elderly couple I do some work for and have no idea what to do with them or if they are worth any money. Just found this website in hopes of receiving some help. I have tried to "Google" the knives and it confuses me more. Most websites seem to say they are "vintage", all but 2 are in the original box. If anyone can help this confused lady find more information, I would appreciate it. Thanks!"

I am posting pics of the Mike England, Maker. It has a cap that unscrews and inside are, fishing line, hooks and sinkers, matches, and other things I can't figure out. It has a green nylon cord wrapped around the handle too. I would appreciate any info about it, as well as value. Thank you!

Our rules prohibit us from discussing values. However, Mike England was a well known maker back in the 1980s who specialized in tactical and survival style knives; including hollow handled survival (Rambo-like) knives such as your example.

As a Gold member I believe it is, in fact, permissible for you to inquire as to value, It is however against the rules to attempt the sale of a knife, any knife outside the knife exchange area, but you also have the appropriate membership level for that in one of those venues. Having said all that, I have no idea what your knife may be worth.

A knife similar to your Mike England survival knife sold for $330 in December (2016) on the big auction site.

Thank you for the info. I read somewhere he is from Oklahoma; I am too. Makes the knife more special that way.

I used to own and use a Mike England Survival Knife. It worked very well and I was always impressed with it. Looks like you got a great blade!

KML,

Here is a little more information on Mike England knives from "The Survival Knife Reference Guide" by Douglas Berner, 1986. Not your exact model, but good information never-the-less.
