Gday guys,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm just curious if anyone here has had any experience using military gun-oil on their knives? Specifically, Australian Army gun-oil (Nycolube 127 - http://www.deutsche-nyco.de/pdf/Dok...OLUBE%20NL%20127%20-%20Version%2003.06.09.pdf). I can get this stuff by the bucketload, but Tuf-Glide, I have to purchase a small bottle from The States (shipping costs three times more than the bottle itself...
)
I've just purchased some Tuf-Glide (but is yet to arive from the States) so when it arrives, I'll do a back to back comparo....
Does anyone know if this is similar to what the US guys use in their Marines/Army/AirForce/Navy???
And, does it work on knives as well as some other (more expensive) products?
I'm assuming Tuf-glide doesn't actually stay wet, but rather, dries off to leave a protective coating rather than a wet layer??
Cheers,
Dan.
