I know this had to have been brought up but I couldn't find it in the search. I picked up a mini grip and of course did some looking around and saw some with custom scales. Could any of you guys point me in the right direction ? Or if any one has a set for sale. Looking for G10, marcita, carbon.....no aluminum.

Thanks...

I have a set of Applied Weapons Technologies (AWT) aluminum scales installed on my mini grip. Here's the website:

For me, the size and shape of these scales set them apart from most of the other aftermarket scales, most of which follow a profile very similar to the factory scales, which I don't like at all. The AWT scales also carry better in the pocket and have top-quality fit and finish. The company was also excellent to deal with. I would buy more AWT scales for my next grip or mini grip.

The Wilkins scales also seem pretty nice and appear to have a superior design vs. factory scales, but I have not seen them in person.

I'd really like a denim micarta anyone know a person who does that? The ones listed don't specify If they can provide that.

I had scales made for my mini and regular grip by Igorded. He specializes in griptillian scales. Really nice work, lot of options for different material

Yes...My photographer skills and camera suck.

A few things to note - different scale makers also offer different contours. It depends what you are looking for.
For example, look at the Igorded scales. Flat slabs. Some like this, as it may carry better in the pocket. Wilkins, AWT are also flat.
DOAT makes both contoured and flat scales, depending on preference. I personally prefer contoured for the way it feels in hand. Just one more variable to be aware of.

Some scale makers also change the shape of the scales (ie more squared off) - again depending on what you are looking for. Look at Wilkins, AWT and DOAT again.

I didn't notice that before you said something. Thank you for pointing that out. I think I like the contoured I'll have to back through the photos. I think a blue jean micarta would be awesome with this knife.

I can only recommend DOAT
He made a very nice set of contoured OD micarta for my mini ritter
I would le like to for me someone doing such a good job for a ZT0350
