Mission MBK-Ti.....the most pointy knife ever....for my tackle bag

I know this may seem silly, after a long search to find the perfect tackle bag knife (I always have an H1 steel spyderco of some sort clipped to my body when on the water) I settled in on the MBK-Ti, will be used primarily to cut up fish and other bait..will never be cleaned and will always be put back in sheath wet with salt water....other knives have failed this task miserably... Now back to the title, having handled many hundreds and realistically possibly thousands of blades, this knives point is ridiculous, when you touch it is like a needle....sick pointy....so much so I felt the need to post this....it is workable sharp almost shaving sharp, impressive enough for Ti, but that point! Anyone else have one of these? Sick point also? I tell you what, this would make an excellent pure defense sticking and slashing piece, light tough, corrosion resistant....thumbs up for this one I'm keeping it...catch and keep

Glad you found a knife that works.

Just curious, do you actually not clean it ?
Not even give it a quick swish in water so you don't end up with a stinky tackle bag ?

Hey, do you have a spine shot of the knife? Interested in its thickness considering it's made out of titanium.

Five year re-post
Constant exposure and soaking in salt water...never an inkling of rust
Awesome...
Ive used MISSION Ti knives for hunting and kayaking for years. The MPU makes for a great kayaking knife and only gets rinsed off after kayaking because it has a permanently place in my buoyancy vest and gets the hose when I rinse salt water off the vest.
The 'cleaning' of the knife is not needed but merely a by-product of buoyancy vest maintenance in order to extend the life of the vest.
("It sits in the sheath or it gets the hose" :D).

Sure.
Its pointy, alright.
Good for opening letters and cardboard boxes.

Ive use the Ti MPS for a hunting/camp knife. The little MPU makes for a good skinner also.
Ive beaten the snot out of the Ti MPS & MPU - they just shrug and asks for more.

Great knives.

MPS Ti
MPU Ti
MBK Ti.

Homemade CF scales on the MPU along with titanium chain ring bolts, Ti split ring and Ti carabiner.

What is the process of sharpening these blades and how often do you have to resharpen these blades when used often?

If anyone has photos of the MBK spine and tip that they can inbox me, i'd appreciate it

I use either a Fällkniven diamond/ceramic sharpener free-hand or a Lansky diamond set. The knives are a breeze to sharpen.
The Mission kives holds an adequate edge (contrary to the vast majority of the junk titanium knives out there spewed out by ruthless manufacturers).
Just dont expect them to work like 'super' steels.

Thanks Bladescout for the info doesn't sound bad at all.
That Mps looks sweet Tiguy. I wouldn't mind checking one of those out.
