Friday night we took the scouts on a campout, and yesterday we hiked to the top of Mitchell Peak, which is on the western edge of Kings Canyon National Park. I really like this peak because it offers outstanding views of all of Kings Canyon NP, as well as the northern part of Sequoia NP. I can stand there and look at all the places I have been throughout the parks.

First, on the trail
