Hello I am interested in modern bayonet knives that work with the m16 style lugs (but others are interesting to me as well)

I am looking for something in a nice quality steel and build - which modern knife design has come along way
Maybe cryo treated - unsure

I know Zero Tolerance made the ZT-9 Bayonet and I have had no luck finding one from a reliable source that isn't an individual seller - they are discontinued sadly.
The ZT-9 was in CPM-S30v and I really liked that

Is anyone making something along these lines anymore?

The Phrobis M9 is nice.
I always liked the fish logo.

So, I am going to ask, what is wrong with the standard M7? Finding one from each contractor can be a challenge.

Another challenge is finding the Canadian C7 version. Still looking for one of those for a reasonable price.

OP, if you are looking for something special let me know. I have a couple of friends that are really bayonet nuts.

fox knives italy has some nice options, one of them even has the hand guard ring and everything, just be prepared to pay a couple hundred, they're made of N690Co

I would get an M9 also, couple different makers and generations to choose from and you should be able to find a real one with no issue. Most bayonets aren't great knives though, the compromise in design sort of destines them to be so.

I really thought that the M9 was what I wanted.
Then I had a chance to handle one and I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be.

I think that if I was going to buy one to carry and use, I would buy the Marine Corps bayonet.

However, for collecting the M7 is just fine for my needs. And they look nice sitting right next to my fathers M3.

Nothing against the Marine Corps one, I have no experience with it. However, was Army like you and so don't tend to have Marine stuff around, just doesn't feel right to me, my issue though.

The M7 is great for a user and to put a bayonet on something for less $$ it is hard to beat.

I'm a Buck fan and so have way too many of the M9s from when they were making them back in the 80's and 90's (forget the actual years now).
