Forgive me if I have this in the wrong spot, I'm new here.
I decided I wanted to modify a blade, just to get a feel for the work.
I wanted something that wasn't crazy expensive if I ruined it, but I wanted it to be worth the time if I did a good job. I was not fixing any problems with this mod, I just wanted to do it.
I ran across a used BK-9 that the previous owner had buffed down the saber grind shoulder. For under $100, it came with a Kydex sheath that fits my other BK-9 that(I left alone).
The last pic is of the modded BK-9 on top of the unmolested one.
I did most the work on a HF 1x30 belt sander, and walked it the rest of the way in with diamond files and blocked sandpaper. Finished in Brownell's oxpho-blue.
