Does anyone have any feedback or advice on the Modified Sheepsfoot blade?

What do you mean..... Are you asking about a particular knife ......Company... Or just about the blade its self....
What do you want to know?
Talking about the griptilian i guess?

I am currently looking at the BM550HG Griptilian which has the modified sheepsfoot blade and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this specific blade type?

There's not much belly, the tip is not terribly acute, though more so than most sheepsfoot blades I've seen, so delicate work with the tip is not terribly easy. http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=griptilian+sheepsfoot&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
However, it makes a great blade shape for utility work, such as cutting down cardboard boxes (although a thin wharncliffe or "hook/hawk" style blade would do better), slicing vegetables and meat, and various other tasks).
I had one at one point, and used it primarily for quick food prep while traveling. However, I ended up preferring my Delica 3 - tip was more acute, more belly, and probably nostalgic reasons as well.

Griptilian handles have partial liners IIRC - and there is SOME give when you squeeze or twist it fairly hard.

What tasks do you typically use blades for? What kind of handle are you looking for? Metal, metal with inserts, synthetic, smooth, grippy, etc?

I am in law enforcement and carry a blade on and off duty for multiple reasons. I definetly prefer a more grippy handle and am very partial to materials like G10. I am currently searching for the perfect EDC, however I don't think I will ever find it cause every time I get a new knife, no matter how much I love it, I am always looking at what knife to get next.

Welcome to the club...

Hmm... have you considered the Spyderco Para-Military?
Pretty darn good knife, though admittedly the lock takes some getting used to.

Thanks guys, I just ordered the 551 Grip as opposed to the 550. Your input definetly helped.
