Morakniv vs Condor Mini Bushlore

I have the Mora 2/0 and #2 and they are an awesome combo. The 2/0 is a hair under 3 inches and the finest edge I've seen. Great for smaller work, but could probably handle most duties. The #2 is just a bit over 4" I believe. I have the older full tang laminated version. I mainly use them on wood and I don't think you can beat a scandi brind on wood. Flat grinds do very well too but are less robust. Never tried the bushlores, thought about it and then just bought a couple Moras for the same price.

Not the same animal at all. The Condor is very tough, even overbuilt one could say for this size class but it will take the occasional beating without a shrug. The Mora Classic #2 is one of the best slicers ever but if you are into batoning, prying and other "abuse" it's not the best choice.

If you are using another tool, such as an axe or hatchet along with a mora, you wont have any need for something as built as a Bushlore. Even the Mora Robust companion is strong enough for a lot of battoning.

I found the condors to be a little sub par compared to mora. The condor will be stronger but the mora will be the better knife for cutting things. Better steel and a finer edge angle. I own a companion mg and a laminated 137. I've owned the condor sapien and the 5 incher. On the condor's the grinds were okay but a little too thick, the handles needed to be finished, both were slightly crooked etc. The 137 takes a wicked edge and holds it longer than my esee's for example in 1095. I would pick mora all day long between the two. In fact I carry the 137 over my esee's and my GSO 4.1. They're not nearly as fragile as most like to think stick tangs are and even if they were, there are work arounds. In fact using a wedge is actually a bit easier when splitting then a 4-5 inch full tang knife IME because you can adjust the thickness. Long and skinny tend to work for me best.

For car 'camping', stationary backcountry living, or just for using around the property I'd pick the Condor.

For serious dayhiking or long distance backpacking, the Mora for sure. Or something even lighter.

For collecting/accumulating, one of each. I have several of each in fact. :D
