I found this in the collectibles at a thrift store and from what I have read online it looks like a Moro Kris (possibly?) Can anyone give me information about this sword? TIA

It looks "ok"....modern, and very likely for the tourist industry.

True "Moro" blades are forged out of carbon damascus and have been darkened.

This looks like it might have been cut out of a sheet.

Yes, Moro kris, tourist/decorative version. Probably. Can't tell for sure from the photos (it's useful to show photos of the whole sword straight on from the side, also parts of it that can be useful for ID, like the tip, base of blade, hilt), but almost certainly.

The one on the right in this group is a tourist one like yours appears to be:

Most Moro kris blades one sees these days aren't darkened, and while pattern-welding (i.e., Damascus) is common in older blades (though you might have to polish and etch the blade to tell), more recent ones are often monosteel. Indonesian keris blades are (usually) stained making the pattern obvious, but not Moro blades.

I added a couple of more images, I didn't actually think it was antique but I figured for $35 it would be a good addition to my sons collection. He was thrilled. Thanks for all of your responses.
