Any ideas how to go about finding someone to fit this knife with scales? I’m flexible on materials and budget.
It’s my fathers knife and it belonged to his grandmother. I’d love to surprise him with it.
Any help is appreciated

as I'm sure you have better results/answers.

That being said, it appear your Knife will for sure need some Blade reconditioning in addition to new scales/handle. Your Knife appears to be a "Sabatier" (six or eight inch) French Chef Knife. Nice.

Get ahold of Dave Loukides. He used to be on this board. He refurbished a 100 year old Sabatier for me and it's one of my favorite kitchen knives. Very reasonable and excellent work.
