I was wondering what the sharpining angle for the BK2 is? I just got mine yesterday. It did not have any info. I was not sure if there is a certaint angle or do I do it like normal?

Well I had to reprofile my BK2, Neither the 20, or 25 degree set on my lansky hit the edge right, so I just set it in the 25 degree slot and went to town. Now it's pretty beastly.

The KA-BAR website lists a 20 degree edge angle for the BK-2, so 40 degrees included, but as always, YMMV. I think they list 20 degree edge angles for everything except the Necker and TacTool, with 15 degree edge angles.

yea.. it says 20 on each side, but my lansky at 20 degrees didnt land on the edge at all.

I used the 22 degree mark on my Gatco works fines. Nice and sharp with excellent edge retention
