My Bladereviews.com Interview

Great interview! It’s interesting to hear what happens behind all the madness! Keep it up, Ban!

very cool Ban... i searched for some pics of you grinding, but couldn't find any, they were all of you chopping...:D

Nice interview and cool little site. I have a pic of Daniel son grinding you want to add that one.:D;)

Why didn't you tell him about all the recurves and flying serrations you love?

And why didn't you plug your kitchen knife project?

Great interview! I like that the questions and answers were nice and succinct. You really get a good overview of who you are as a knife maker, and the thought process behind what you like and what you make.

And, awesome, my pics of you grinding came in handy after all  :D

Hey this is Dan (the guy who runs BladeReviews). I love kitchen knives (and noticed Ban has made a couple) but I didn't think to ask about them! Doh!

Part of the limitation is that I do this over email and typically write most of the questions in advance ...we will have to cover those topics in a follow up down the road.

The grinding pictures were clutch - I like having some sparks fly in the interviews. ;)

And thanks for the kudos, glad you (and everyone else who commented) enjoyed the interview. The whole idea was to give people an idea about Ban "beyond the blade" (and show off as much knife porn as physically possible).

I was just joking about the serrations, he used to threaten to add them to every knife I got him to mod.

The kitchen knife project is a plan that I created and Ban hasn't quite signed off on yet...

I'm working on another project to go with kitchen knives and I just bought $90.00 worth of Micarta to start it off.

HEY!

Don't bothering Ban-he needs to be making knives-not at the computer!

;) Just kidding...but he does have one for me somewhere in the pipeline... :D

Hah you got me there. Some Ban serrations would be interesting to see although I'm generally a plain edge guy.

As for the kitcken knife project, let me know if it gets interesting.

Great interview.

Ban, you forgot to mention, that when you modified the Busse knives, they became more valuable, and highly sought after!

I honestly believe, your stellar mods had something to do with Busse releasing more thin knives, and more with factory convex edges!

You also did not mention that your available knives last mere seconds on the exchange!
