Handmade by Chris Reeve in 1988Do you know when that knife was manufactured? It's a gem of a collector's piece.
Thank you sirIts simplicity is what makes it great. Love that blade shape. Thank you for sharing it with us. Photo of the backside would be nice, too
This will be amazing! Grateful for you sharing and cannot wait!I want to show my collection in another way, I will post a picture of a knife every day, welcome to discuss together.
More than 1 month I think, because I have 30+ knives in my collection. How long is this thread gonna run ?
Next week, a month or two, next year...??
Good question. Yes, it has bushing, it has almost the same main characters as later Sebenzas. The blade steel? Guess it, it is a common stainless steel in the old days.Does that knife have the pivot bushing? Also, what was he using for blade steel in those days.
440C?The blade steel? Guess it, it is a common stainless steel in the old days.
nope, but a very similar steel440C?
noI would guess ats34 for the steel. Amazing knife!
12C27. It was very difficult for Chris Reeve to get better stainless steel in South Africa in 1988.Last guess is 440a. If that's not it, I give up.
