First up, I am not affiliated with any manufacturer of grinders, I am just a customer.

As every Australian & New Zealand knifemaker probably knows, in the last 6 months we have bought a lot of Wilmont Grinders. We just took delivery of another 8 today, and we have a lot more on order and am about to place the order for even more.

I am going to steer clear of the TAG101 vs TW-90 Debate. I have never used a TW-90, nor even seen one for real. Though I did try to buy a bunch of them at one time.

Both the TAG-101 and Little Buddy Grinders are awesome. They are so obviously built by a knifemaker, for knifemakers. They are solid, well built machines. easy to use and really well thought out.

Buy either and you would never regret it.

There is more to buying anything than just a good product at a good price. I want to talk about customer service.

For me selecting a supplier is never based just on the product they sell, but the service that comes with it.

With Chris at Wilmont, you have a supplier that you can absolutely trust.
You can trust he will listen to you and your requirement. Not because he is after your money, but because he actually cares, and is passionate about the products he makes.
You can trust that he will respond to you in a timely fashion, answering all of your questions, simply and honestly.
You can trust that he will support the machines he sells and if there is something wrong, he will go out of his way to sort it out.
You can trust that he will be passionate about his products, because he uses them himself, doing what we all do, making knives!

If he takes a little long to supply at times, you can blame Australia for buying him out again. ;)

The service I have received from Chris, right from the initial contact, is simply outstanding.

If you are trying to decide what grinder to get, the answer to me is simple. Wilmonts products. From the build your own grinder, through to the Little Buddy and peaking at what is surely the worlds best knifemaking grinder, the TAG-101 Wilmont has something to suit you, your needs and your budget. All of them come with the best customer service you will find anywhere and I can't recommend Wilmont products enough.
