Hi All,

New guy here. I am venturing down the slippery slope path of custom knives and ordered an Andre Van Heerden M44 yesterday. I have feeling this will be a really expensive new found interest. So many beautiful knives and so much to learn ...

Very nice. Congratulations! And, by the way, welcome to the forum!

Now the bad news... Your feeling is probably correct. :). The great thing is, here on the forums you can learn a lot and look at some amazing knives without denting your wallet. But occasionally your willpower may fail and you will want another one. Or, at least that is what happens to me.

Congrats on a fine knife! On to the next one now. :D

Welcome to the forums!!

Nice pickup, I think you'll love it!

If you haven't already, you should check out André Thorburn's work.

It gets worse.

You'll start commissioning them directly from the makers.

I already have two in progress and a third is likely.

That is a beautiful knife! Congrats on beautiful knife. Custom knives are awesome.

That blades ticks ALL the right boxes! Great choice!
Welcome and enjoy it!!
