Well the first thing I want to say is, this knife puts a whole new meaning to "That's not a knife, this is a knife!" I have to try this thing out! Soon! Other than a small cracks in handles of the chakmak and the karda it's great!
I would like to know who made it, does anyone know what marks for which kami?

The markers marks are

Bura - Cresent shaped moon
Sher - Rising sun
Vim - Flag
Kumar - Star
Dil - Flower

Enjoy the ang khola, let us know how she works for you. :)

Edit: Where are my manners... Welcome! :)

Puuuleeaaazzzzze read the safety thread first.

Then read it again.

Enjoy your new love.

Welcome.

What Kismet said. Watch yourself.

If I had to rank the HI lineup in terms of preference, the 15" AK would be in the top five. You picked a good one to start with.

I'm really glad I picked this up. It is a great knife. Thanks for the safety warnings. I did my homework on all aspects of this knife before I bought it. It is such a different knife from anything I have used before. I used many machetes working for the forest service clearing horse trails and know all about respect for large blades. A friend left his thumb in the weeds! Well, looks like a new knife habit to tick my wife off. What can ya do! Gotta to get more!!!!

The 15" AK is a great little knife. There's a reason it was/is the number one seller. Big enough to chop, small enough to pack. Only two things will stand in the way of your second blade. Your wallet and your wife. ;)

I started out with what I thought practical; a 15" BAS.
(as soon as I held it I knew I needed a larger one too)

We sure know the joy of the first HI blade

The entrance to the HI Forum should read from Dante's Inferno: "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here!" :D

You'll know what I mean in two years when your wife has left you and you're living under a bridge with a shopping cart full of kukris. ;)

Seriously, Boneaxe, I'm sure you'll be able to stop anytime!

Welcome to the Cantina!
