My kephart

Got my Kephart blank in the mail the other day. Glued up some granadillo to some purple g10 and pinned it with brass yesterday. Some file work today, I've got my basic shape down, not done yet, need to even it out and tighten it up. Then make a sheath!

John makes a d@mn fine kephart - I'm lucky enough to own all versions (I believe) that he makes. They perform flawlessly.

Here it is cleaned up and waxed, still need to remove the excess wax. The butt is 3/4" and flat for the first inch, then ovals out the rest of the way, with an 1/8" taper.

This one is a little smaller than his standard. Looks like 7 15/16" OL. My little nub is right about center.

Looks like the handle would be comfortable. Save some in use pics so we can enjoy it as we are snowed in!!!

Any updates? On the knife use. We are now in the upper 60s and even hit a few 70s.
