Every time I have Alan Davis make me a knife he always makes it just like I wanted it! But this time it was like HOLY COW!!!! I have always wanted a tactical looking sodbuster to put in my pocket for a good all around edc. Most Sodbusters work like slipjoints and don't have a lock and have slick handles. So I just told Alan what I wanted which was a tactical Sodbuster with a liner-lock, black G10 handles and make it a large size but very lite weight, I also wanted to try the Elmax Steel because I had heard a lot of good things about it from Alan. HOLY COW!!! When I got this PERFECT EDC I was stunned! Alan had out done himself this time. Not only did he meet what I wanted he EXCEEDED IT!!! This knife has a perfect shape and grip!! As always with Alan's folders there is ZERO blade play and it locks up ROCK SOLID!! I am calling it my Sod-Tac because it is TRULY a tactical Sodbuster!! I am going to have Alan post the pictures in the post below. I never thought I would see the perfect Sodbuster but I now own it!!! Alan will post the specs with his pictures but you would have to handle this knife to understand how AWESOME it really is. Please feel free to post what you think of it but I think by now you know how I feel! Alan, you really could not have done this better no matter how hard you tried! I cant put enough thumbs up but here are a few. THANKS! Kevin :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Blade is just over 3 1/2" with Elmax stainless steel at Rc 61, the total weight is 2.7 oz

I love the lines of the knife. Very sharp looking design! My one question is about deployment. I assume this is meant to be a two handed deployment?

You are right on it! I wanted a true tactical Sodbuster with out the nick, thubstud or anything else. This knife it perfectly rounded with nothing sharpe that can catch in the pocket. Alan did it JUST THE WAY I WANTED!! Glad you like it. THANKS! Kevin

Beautiful. We need more knives like this in the world. And thankfully, it isn't a framelock.

Keep the comments coming. Thank You! Kevin

That's a beautiful knife that looks like it could also be put through Hell. I'm jealous.

Not that there's anything wrong with Alan's framelocks:

^ let me know when you want to sell that! ^

Alan does some of the best work out there....

Alan has come up through the ranks...but in a very short period of time. His work is outstanding; I consider him to be in the top rank of custom makers out there. I only have one of his knives, an excellent fixed blade, but I hope to get one of his folders sometime.

Congratulations on that knife Kevin. Alan is a great maker from what I've seen. I need to own a few of his knives. Soon I hope.

that is amazing, classy yet serious, clearly capable of hard work yet could be carried in a tux pocket. Excellent job on Alan's part for sure.

Sir ; l love your knife. But wouldn't it be wiser to have a nail nick for.convenience or a thumb stud or thumb hole ?
