I have modernized traditional Scandinavian puukko by adding finger guard and press stud security strap. The blade is Lauri's double hardened 80 mm long drop point (steel 80CrV2; edge 63 HRC; spine 50 HRC). The tang has strong hot glue and spring pin fastening. The handle is made of birch, painted with dye and boiled linseed oil. The sheath is vegetable tanned 2.3 mm thick leather; the inside has shellac hardening and the outside has water resistant beeswax grease. The rivets got antique appearance when I heated them by torch.

Thanks for the comments. I forgot to mention that I carve my initials, JSP, in the handle. I use Runes (Elder Futhark), which in ancient times were designed for carving in wood. I think they looks pretty good and magical. But for give me the somewhat rough finishing which is revealed by the close-up photo. My target is affordable price, and also tough and serviceable construction. I hope I will soon find a good way to sell internationally.

They look like robust working knives. Well done!
