I have made this knife one time before a few years ago, and is still probably my favorite Scale style knife, anyhow this knife a has a 6" long by 3/16" thick mirror finished cpm154 blade heat treated with cryo to HRc-61-62. The guard is nickel silver a soldered in place with no pin holes. It has Mammoth ivory spacer (from Mark Knapp), and horse hide spacers, other spacers are nickel silver micarta and G10. It has a hand tooled and stitched leather sheath with a decorative arrowhead mounted on the front panel. The leather is 9-10 oz, vegetable tanned tooling leather. I hope you like it, all comments are welcome, and thank you for looking.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I really appriciate it.

Just beautiful Scott - no one does it better. Why horsehide spacers and whose horse did you kill? :)
Tim, horse hide is much more moisture resistant than cow, and is also denser and more wear resistant which makes it more durable than cow hide. It also takes a really nice finish when you burnish it. But it's also difficult to dye with off the shelf dyes, so I don't use it in my sheaths.

Shell cordovan is horse butt leather.

Horse butt is what I use in my handles I buy mine from Zach White it comes from the top part of the horses butt, Shell cordovan comes from the outer sides of the horses thighs, that's what Allen Edmond makes the premium grade shoes out of.

I have two of your knives sitting in front of me as I type this. As stunning as these pictures are, I must say that pictures do them no justice.
The attention to detail and the amazing use of perfectly contrasting materials must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

Thank you Mack for the kind words, I'm glad you are enjoying your knives.

Yeah. From what I understand, the "shell is not actually skin, but underlying connective tissue which does not crease and doesn't have the pebbly grain of the outer skin side. Very expensive stuff.

Your right Joe, I was looking at some Cordovan Allen Edmond shoes a while back and they were $650.00 endless to say I didn't by them, but they do make some really nice calf skin one which I'm still thinking about. I think the only place left that still makes Cordovan leather is Horween in Chicago, I think the straight razor guys like it for they're strops.
