Feel free to criticize, tell me your likes and dislikes.

couldn't make up my mind how to tie the wrap with the hemp, so it's wrapped in 3 different ways from ricasso to butt end.

This one is coated in Crazy glue from home depot !

Epoxy over straight hemp gives a really mushy look. *YUCK*

With a thong hole in the end ....now i just gotta find a piece of leather cos paracord would be a bit odd in this case !

slight curvature of the blade.

This one is going to Lycosa's wife !

hemp has a lot of really good things going for it, and I think it's great that more people are taking an interest in this material for various things- it could help reverse a lot of damage we've done over the past 70 years since it was banned.

This fine knife is another great example of how hemp can be used for knives.:cool:

Now, I hope we start seeing some burly hemp sheaths and hemp composites.
G10, micarta? How bout hemposites?:D

someone needs to try to make hemp mycarta ! (unless it's already been done !) weave it in layers and then resin it up !

That looks smokin.... man :D

I like the wrap at either end but im not sure about the bit in the middle.
That stuff does really look good on a blade though

The blade is perfect, Po! :D
You don't need to put on a lanyard.
She'll take it!!
Thanks!

Looks good to me  the cord is rather twisty when you're trying to do the twists like the middle isn't it? :p

I'm already planning some hemp mycarta to use all the leftover bits I have from other knife handles.

The First Maker to use Hemp Micarta handle scales on a knife...
I buy it! :p

Pohan---The Hemp gives the knife many descriptions:
Pure, Earthy, Antique, Tough, Raw, Natural, etc.
I won't be surprised to see other Makers starting using Hemp more.

My little Leavitt EDK is getting really nice. The resin in the hemp wrap is wearing down a bit and the handle is really starting to feel amazing.
I hope this isn't a trade secret, Will, but the leather underlay was a great idea. Because the hemp cord is fairly narrow gauge, it really helps to wrap it over something. I think it will help it last longer too.

I've had my EDK in my pocket during some fairly intense trail tread construction- lots of igneous rock and loam rubbing against it- and no hint of wear or damage yet. It lives in my pocket every single day, and although I haven't crashed my bike yet with it in my pocket, I expect it will last for years.

I believe Snoddy uses a sub-wrap material. It adds extra cushion, too.
Po---Did you use a sub-wrap or straight Hemp?

Now that's what I call a blunt wrap!

Rosta Frei Steel is numba 1, mon. :D
