This might have been asked a trillion times already,

What are good nail clippers?

Non of them specify steel and hardness :-D and generally I've no clue about the field.

Something strong and wide opening for bigger toenails would be great.
So far I'm looking at Wusthof and some from Seki.

Thank you.

Mehaz 660 or 662 if you can find them, Muji silver (small or large) if you can't. Those are the sweethome recommendations, I have the mehaz ones, and they are pretty great, seem as sharp as the day I got them. I'm pretty useless with that sort of personal care, I'm just as likely to grab the scissors on a SAK to do my fingers, but even I can keep my toes functional without any trouble.

Cool. Thanks guys.

Mehaz seems to be easy to find.

Will update here after I get some first impressions on which one I like best.

So far I got only the sleek looking Seki and'll probably stick with it if it keeps cutting that well.

There are just a few minor things.
The distance of the blades is barely enough. A bit more room would have been good.

The blades click twice. Once they go through the material and once when released. That could mean that the resistance of nail forces the blades into a less optimal position and when they realign they make the second click. That makes me worried about Edge life. But maybe it's a self sharpening feature?

The pin going through the lever is a bit too wiggly and while one end seemed peened properly the other mushroomed only a fraction of it.

Thanks again for your suggestions!
