So ladies and boogers, I happened to wander into a new outdoor store..came across the Nalgene canteens. They only had red and blue, so I chose blue..seems to make ice water seem colder by that blue color. They are not rigid like the bottles, but flexible and shaped the same as the g.i. canteens, and stamped as bpa free. They come with black caps, which can be replaced and fit in the g.i. style cover. I carried blackberry tea inside one daily for over two weeks..yes, it stank of tea..until i washed it out..then neither smell nor after taste was left over.

The material with which they are made is both flexible and durable, seems to resist heat and freezing, while not deforming under either. I paid, I think, eight or nine dollars each..a good deal in my opinion. They are actually quite nice, as well as being tough..due to their shape..they take up less space in a pack. These bottles seem to come in a range of colors, including blue..red..tan..green..and grey.

I got one recently too. With a GI molle canteen pouch, cup and lid, it makes a nice little brew kit for hot drinks and such.

I think this is the best bottle Nalgene makes. For some unexplained reason, it is much easier to sip from this bottle than my regular 32 oz Nalgene bottles. Note to self, get a few more of this style.

If you mean the 32oz wide mouth, then yes it is much easier. With the wide mouth, I think atleast 25% of the drink ends up on my shirt lol. :-)
