Naming Knives

I have seen old threads of this same topic from a while ago and wanted to revive it. I recently gave names to my favorite knives:

Benchmade 940- Angie
ESEE Izula- Sara
Benchmade Griptilian 551- Jane (because it's the black FRN and satin 154cm blade, or "plain Jane" model.)
Becker BK9- Mary (meaning "rebelliousness")
Becker BK7- Layla (meaning "dark beauty" or "night")
And my Spyderco Military coming in the mail- Matilda (Derivative of the German name, Matilde, meaning "strong in war")

So, do any of you guys name your knives? And if so, why did you give your knives their names?

I just call them by what the manufacturer calls them. I don't go around renaming people I meet so I don't feel the need to rename the knives I buy.

Just like the BM 67, 62, 300, Bone Collector series, 172, the Zero Tolerance knives, and so on.

I've named a knife and a hawk I own, but that's it.

I have "The Beauty" (my first Laguiole) and "The Beast" (my Benchmade Adamas).
And then there is one other whose name is not repeatable in civilized company ;)

All the others are just knives (and referred to by their makers denomination).

Thank you for being pleasant unlike others who posted.
