Hi, I am new to this forum. I believe I inherited a Nazi SS Officer's sword. I have no idea what to do with it. Can somebody tell me if I am correct? I tried doing a google search on it, but I am only finding limited results. The condition of the scabbard? (if that is what it is called) is in good condition. The sword itself is in very good condition. Can somebody tell me the approximate value? Thanks everyone.

It is an SS Officers sword. You should pack it up and send it to me.

Are you interested in selling or trading it?

and Sam, thank's for the input... but i don't think i'll boxing it up and toss it in the river.

Yes, the SS did carry swords as part of a ceremonial dress uniform only; it's really hard to shoot people in the head with a sword.
