I recently acquired what appears to be a WW2 era Camillus fixed blade knife. The blade length appears to be very similar to a USN MK1. It is a flat ground blade, vs a Sabre ground blade though. Also, the handle construction is very different. The handle is grooved stacked leather washers with Bakelite spacers at the ends, similar to a M3 knife. The pommel is also a flat metal oval, much like the M3 knife. The tang is also hammered/peen’ed like an M3, vs the screw type on USN MK1. It has a large, heavy flat cross guard.
In all my years of collecting military knives, I’ve never seen this model. Any ideas?

Yup, thank you, that looks to exactly be it! I have numerous Jet pilot knives too, I didn’t even post a comparison picture with one, because I thought this knife design had much more in common with the USN MK1. But yup, the construction looks identical to the picture that you posted! Did Camillus make many of these early jet pilot knives? I’ve never seen one before!

Camillus? Not that I've seen, only Imperial (and commercial versions by Imperial Schrade, and sometimes private commercial labels like Sears). The most common commercial versions are the Schrade H-15 series, but the style had a few other names when sold commercially -
