I bought this knife secondhand. The blade was polished, so it does not have the Emerson name on it, I have dealt with Emerson cqc8 before so I know what they look and feel like. it sure looks and feels real to me, I mean it even still looks like the Emerson liners you know raw looking. but it has no name. Here are some pics.

Please help identify.

Even if you don’t know, please post what you do know about Emerson so that I can try to find out.

serration pattern looks right to me. g10 scales remind me of Emerson setup. can't comment on rest....pics aren't that great......sorry.....

Thank you for your information. I’ll try to get better pictures of to see if you could identify anymore.

Looks like a legitimate Emerson from here. You could always email EKI a few pics. The hardware, G10 texture, serrations and liners looks like trademark Emerson ( I’m also not an expert on the subject though ).

Hard to tell from the pictures. The blade being "polished" wouldn't necessarily remove all traces of the logo and serial number that's usually under the thumb disk. On all 3 of my Emersons those are etched into the steel so you would have to polish the crap out of the blade to remove all trace of them.

Here are some more pics that maybe will help identify it better.

Also the last standoff is not like the others.
They switched standoffs on certain models some time ago, not sure if that’s universal or not now.

I currently have a Commander in my pocket that was ordered direct from EKI and it has the larger standoffs.

It looks pretty legit mostly. Some hardware is incorrect, but that is easily something a previous owner could have done. My biggest reservation is I don't know it the Super 8 has been in production since the switchover to standoffs.

I get that they switched standoff. But that last one is legit completely different from the rest. Shape. Size. It even looks like there is a washer of some sort around it. As mentioned it could have been swapped out but it's still odd.

Doesn't a CQC-8 come with a backspacer as standard?
