hey guys I need some help with opinions on sword authenticity. This was found in the Old St Augustine area. Left as much Patena on it as I could, but cleaned the handle looking for some identification marks. Handle looks like it’s bronze or brass. I’ll attach some photos as soon as I figure out how.

The only mameluke sabre I found with an (undecorated) brass instead of ivoroid handle is USMC 1820.

Brass does not oxidize to red rust.
Not many comments from me on the object sword except that it has nothing to do with the USMC. If I have to guess, it is a late modern decorative sword. There are even fraternal mameluke types but I don't feel that this is one of those (Shriners and others).
