I'll try to get the "trio" pics when I get home in September.

The Lee Reeves double bit with curly maple is all kinds of nice. Bit too expensive right now though. Anyone know of any double bit hatchets that are similar and hopefully less than 100?

Chopping Tool: Condor Golok

Fixed Blade: A Condor Bushlore. I'm still breaking this one in, but so far I'm impressed.

My Buck 301. It's a real workhorse of a stockman
Whitlin01.jpg

My main area of variation is the fixed bade...The old standby is a Buck Vanguard that has never let me down.

If I want to spend time in the woods and look good doing it the only choice is the Buck 119. Don't mistake it for just a pretty face though. It likes to get dirty, it just cleans up well.

I'm still working on a good double bit hatchet. Until then...
