Today's mail brought my latest acquisition, a 2004 Case 62032 Texas Jack (thanks maloosik!).

First, a few photos with its older sibling, the 1978 Case 6232 jack.

Now, the two Case jacks on either side of the Schrade 2331 jack I am carrying today.

The 62032 is not larger than the 6232, I had to shoot this one at an angle so as not to have the camera reflected in the Schrade's stainless blade.

I really dig the Texas Jack pattern...

Nice collection, Doug! Thanks for sharing your photos!

The Texas Jack just has something about it. One found its way to me, and like you Doug, it makes me so happy it wants to divide by two.

Your new acquisition is a beauty!!

Thanks for sharing, Doug.

The jackknives made by Case are real classic pieces of cutlery. I need to get one as soon as possible :)

As you know Doug, I like the bigger Texas Jacks. This CV Case 6292 4-dot (1986 manufactured) "Texas Jack" with bone covers is 4" long. However, no matter the size they are all great knives.

Here is this knife (middle) flanked by two other Case 6292 "Texas Jacks" that I have.

Great jacks Doug! I love the subtle differences between the three, though I must say your 78 is my favorite. Everytime you post pics of that 78 it makes me smile. :)

I got to handle my first Case knife today and it was this very same pattern.
Tis a nice knife Doug.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

It's my favorite too, Nick. Glad to bring a smile to your face!

I do indeed know, Ed. These very pictures you posted in the all in on jacks thread helped created my interest in these knives, and while I tend to go for these smaller ones, I did finally get a 6292 (which I have shown before):

That's a nice one too Doug. I really like the pile side of that knife. Another example of Case using bone with a bone marrow canal running through it. Great color too.

Great shots there Doug!
I sure do like that older bone with the oval shield :cool::cool:
Looks pretty close to what they called Appaloosa bone

Interesting you should say that Dave. I recently acquired an appaloosa peanut, and it too is a 1978 production knife. Here is the only real close-up I have of the 6232 that shows the dye color/texture of the bone, flanked by pictures of the peanut.

I will try to remember to take a few photos of the peanut and the jack side-by-side tomorrow.

Here are a few photos of the two 1978 Case knives together, the 6232 jack and the A6220 Appaloosa peanut.

These have been choice. I also much prefer the older CASE shield, better looking and proportioned compared to the current effort.
